Transportation for watchmakers
Valcambi offers watchmakers three types of logistical arrangements:
- Shipping is arranged by Valcambi with shipping rates integrated into the semi-finished product quotation.
- Shipping is arranged by Valcambi with shipping costs charged to the client by Valcambi or paid directly by the client.
- Shipping is arranged and paid directly by the client.
Valcambi provides offers from two to three forwarding agents.
Depending on the agreement with the client, Valcambi or the client choose the most suitable forwarding agent.
Shipment
to Valcambi
If Valcambi arranges the pick-up at the client’s premises, the following shipping advice and information is required from the client:
- Description – alloy type and kind of production process from which the scrap originates
- Number of packages or boxes
- Gross weight of packaging and pieces
- Number of pieces and seals numbers
- Total net weight
- The total estimated gold and silver content of shipment and other information relating to the shipment as Valcambi may reasonably request (e.g. AWB)
Name of the client’s representative at the weighing, melting, and sampling procedures if one is designated

Valcambi packs the goods in accordance with international standards and submits the following
details:
- Number of packages or boxes and seals numbers
- Description of alloy and pieces
- Gross weight of packaging and pieces
- The number of pieces and total net weight
- Net weight of each piece and other information relating to the shipment as client may reasonably request (e.g. AWB)
Valcambi sends a copy of all the documents issued for the delivery to the client via the forwarding agent.
