Minted bars (sometimes called wafers) are cut from specially prepared rolled metal sheets. Our bars have a very high-quality finish, guaranteed purity, and are produced in the same facility as our minted coins.
Our standard minted bars show Valcambi’s Hallmark (logo, weight, metal name, fineness, essayeur fondeur and bar number). On the reverse is written “Valcambi Suisse”. Our older standard minted bars show only Valcambi’s name on both sides.
Our minted bars are accepted worldwide and are security sealed in PETG blisters or capsules depending on weight and form.
All the minted products contain or have aside a certificate with the serial number of the product.
Our certificates are without signature but remain to keep the fineness of the product, the weight in grams and Valcambi’s Certified assayer Hallmark. Valcambi holds an assayer licence and a melter’s licence and all ingots manufactured by Valcambi are stamped with the company’s assayer/melter’s mark.
The assayer/melter’s licence is issued to Valcambi and not to an individual and therefore the signature of a certified assayer is not necessary or legally required for any certificate issued.
Our packaging offers an attractive presentation of the ingots but has been designed to provide superior protection against tampering.
Valcambi can also provide customised packaging to suit clients’ individual requirements, including a security sealed version with an integrated cardboard serial numbered certificate.
All metals and bars produced in our foundry and minting facilities are certified by our laboratory, carefully inspected by our operators, and individually packed and controlled before shipment. Reacting to the demands of investors in different markets around the globe, Valcambi has carefully developed a range of bar standards, forms, and new designs to ensure we deliver precisely what the market needs.
For many years, Valcambi has been one of the world’s largest manufacturers of minted ingots. Examples of our innovation include the world’s first 1 oz minted ingot and the first minted 1,000 g bar.
Valcambi’s production process allows us to quickly adapt our production streams, enabling us to produce a number of different products simultaneously, with the highest finishing standards, on very short delivery times.
Subject to a minimum order size, Valcambi delivers customised gold, silver, platinum, and palladium minted bars according to Valcambi standard sizes. Available fineness (in parts per thousand) for minted bars are 999,99; 999,9 for gold; 999,90 or 999,0 for silver; and 999,5 for platinum and palladium.
Beyond our standard shapes and sizes, special requests can be developed with dedicated master tools and minting dies, created according to the desired specifications of the client, all of which can be manufactured in-house.
Obverse and reverse bar design can be customised according to a client’s wishes, provided that the compulsory marks are ensured and that the design respects the rules of Swiss customs regarding Value Added Tax (VAT).
Valcambi’s Assay Mark can be stamped on each individual bar to ensure quality, along with authenticity evidence and guarantee. To ensure traceability, each bar is also marked with its unique serial number. We develop and provide our clients with customised individual certificates and tailored packaging solutions.
